Why We
Exist.
Established in 2019, Being the Village is committed to amplifying the voices and experiences of Black mothers.
We recognize the unique challenges and strengths that come with navigating motherhood in a society that marginalizes and often stigmatizes Black women. This space was created to bridge the gap of isolation. Being The Village is one place where you can come and simply be.

Through both in-person gatherings and virtual sessions, our goal is connection and community - nurturing the soil for organic friendships to grow, sharing resources, and continuing the legacy of turning friends into aunties and children into play cousins.

Your village is here, and your community awaits.
Generous support is what helps us continue creating spaces where Black mothers can gather and grow. If this work resonates with you, we invite you to help in Sustaining the Village.
Let's
Connect.
